Zocca Cucina Italiana: Reviews & Ratings
My husband and I went here for a date night and loved it! The food was absolutely delicious. Our server was wonderful as well. We sat at the pizza bar and watched the pizzas and appetizers being made in the brick oven. Everything looked awesome! Will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!
Okay, Made reservations at this busy little restaurant. Tried their octopus, meatballs, arancini, stuffed zucchini flowers, couple of salads, homemade pasta, chicken, and veal. Too full for dessert. Met the Chef/Owner, Jeffrey. He came out because he wanted to see who was putting a veal chop on top of his fettuccine alfredo with mushrooms and prosciutto.
Having such beautiful Italian restaurant right here in Dedham Square is such a win. Decor is 5-star ... The marble topped bar, impressive wood back drop, lovely sage green walls – lots of artistic touches all over. Price point is really good. Food is excellent. Service is also fantastic – we had everybody checking in on us to make sure we were happy. Which we were! We had the roasted octopus appetizer– right out of the wood-fired oven. Bolognese - excellent. Didn't get the name of the house red – but it was really full bodied, smooth and warm. Tiramisu was very light As good as anything we've had in the North End. Special seasonal treat: Squash Blossoms from Ward’s Farm in Sharon, Ma - tempura-fried - filled with Ricotta & Parmigiano Reggiano Cheeses, Fresh California Fig & Strawberry Compote topped with a drizzle of EVOO & Balsamic Syrup. Instantly feels like a classic destination spot for a comfortable family dinner – or special evening out. You can tell Zocca is putting everything into this – And our guess is they'll be hitting it out of the park, which they absolutely deserve. Went again tonight - and equally wowed by everything.
Came in after work after hearing about the amazing food from a friend. Luckily was able to score a seat a the bar as the place was packed. While the smell of the pizza was very temping and couple near me got a pie that had me drooling, I opted for the short rib ravioli which was amazing!!!! 10/10 recommend. Can’t wait to come back and try more from this place
Zocca did not disappoint! I usually am not one to eat at the bar but the chairs were comfortable and there was enough space between guests. Hostess was very kind and welcoming. We started with the chicken wings which were absolutely perfect with the lemon, olive oil, rosemary goodness! The entrees were excellent however as good as my dish was I feel there was way too much pancetta. I look forward to returning soon!
Really good pizza, the wings are unbelievable and the Tiramisu very fresh. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was simply perfect for eat relax and enjoy every single bite. Thank you for the beautiful smile and attention that we received from the host girl.
Zocca is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the tone for an incredible dining experience. The seafood is as fresh as it gets—perfectly cooked, beautifully plated, and bursting with flavor. Every dish I tried was a hit, especially the squash blossoms and the roasted octopus But the real surprise? Their espresso martinis. Hands down the best I’ve ever had in my life. Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. It’s the kind of cocktail you order “just one” of… and then immediately want another. Ask for Roberta. She is the best! The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, and the entire experience felt relaxed yet refined. Whether you're celebrating something special or just want an authentic and amazing meal, Zocca is the place where you should be.
Heyy I discovered this restaurant today during a late afternoon walk after grabbing some ice cream nearby. When I approached the hostess for a menu, she kindly offered some fantastic recommendations that immediately caught my interest. Despite the busy atmosphere and many reservations that day, I decided to stay and enjoy the experience... The service was exceptional — attentive without being overbearing, and it felt like the staff anticipated my needs before I even had to ask! Love that. Even with the restaurant packed, my food and drinks arrived promptly and at the perfect temperature-- Hot! I was seated right next to the pizza oven, where I could watch fresh pizzas being made, and they looked very good. Next time I visit with friends, I’m definitely ordering one to share. I enjoyed the arancini—crispy and flavorful—and the pasta alla vodka with crumbled sausage, which was rich, creamy.. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience, and I’m already looking forward to returning. This spot is definitely a local gem worth checking out.
